Hi Everyone,

It’s Election Day in Kentucky! Go Vote! Seriously, go vote.  It’s the simplest and most powerful thing we can do as a citizen. Less than 20% of those eligible to vote, actually voted in our last Governor’s race. That’s not acceptable. I don’t know if apathy played a part, but there was a definite lack of motivation. So if you care at all about things like education, climate, health care, racial equality, immigration, and the economy just to name a few, then please, stand up and be counted. I urge all who are eligible and able to vote. Cast that ballot to be heard.

I have voted and been disappointed. I have voted and been elated. But I have voted in every local, state, and national election since 1976. I believe that is is the fundamental duty of every person. And when the results of today’s election in the beautiful bluegrass state that I love are in, I will be either celebrating or commiserating with family and friends. But, I will have shown up and been counted.

Today’s takeaway, oh heck, you know what today’s takeaway is. Have a great day! Now, GO VOTE (if you haven’t already).
