Happy New Year Everyone!
2025. Wow! The sand in my hour glass seems to be moving at the speed of light. It’s just nuts how quickly the days and months go by. So here we are, another new year. I’m not even going to ask what might be in store for me this year, because I have absolutely no control over that. I know there will be surprises, both good and bad. I’m hoping I can handle whatever comes my way. But I’m gonna try real hard to just live in the present. I’ve spent so much of my life anticipating what’s to come, or fretting over what has been. I’ve wasted a lot of good minutes that way. I’m 67, and as most of you my age or older realize, time is a valuable resource.
I don’t make new year’s resolutions. I’m not going to start now. I will, however, try and promise myself a few things. I will say yes more than I will say no to invitations (when I get them). I will write more. I miss it. Plan to watch more comedies, more laughter, less drama. Music will be my escape, not the NEWS! Dieting is out! I will just add more fruits and vegetables. Fresh air is a must. I will continue walking the dog, searching the trees for cardinals. Why? because they remind me of the beautiful folks I have lost in my life but are still looking out for me. And each day, I will remember to be grateful for what I have been given: love, family, and friends.
I wish for all of you a Very Happy New Year! If you are reading this, then you are one of those I’m most grateful for.
Love to all!
